How to Lose Weight - Vegan HCLF
I just finished watching this video and I am going to go through the links provided under it.
Minus the fact that I cannot (currently) eat beans or legumes at all, or, potatoes much or grains in any sort of large quantity,I find this to be a good start to - along with the Allergy-Free COOKBOOK - figuring out how I need to eat when not fasting.
Why?
Because, I had gone for a long time where I was eating a ton of vegetables, mostly leafy greens and other non-starchy ones, plus yams or potatoes or beans, or maybe a chicken leg with or without a starch, and, only a small amount of diet soda and maybe a little cookie and chocolate drop, and, that's how I initially lost over 100 lbs, which I have mostly kept off for about 7 years, now.
For that style of eating, there were things that still needed to be tweaked, such as portion size and having less starch and not eating too late and cutting out more (or all) of the processed foods and sugars. Things like that. But, it was a great start.
This basic idea of eating is pretty simple, which is a key to reducing stress and wasting less time on non-essential things. It is a tweaked version of what I had been doing. And, there was actually a time, during that time, when I did go to eating only non-starchy vegetables with oil, and, then cutting out the oil.
I got quite ill. I didn't know why. I didn't understand /know about the so-called keto flu. I had taken myself into that mode, inadvertently. If I had known and kept on, I probably could have powered through it and have been much healthier for a long time, now. Though, maybe not, because, I was really toxic, from years of hardly being able to move, stress, using supplements, eating what was available, not fasting, etc.
Regardless, this is a good start and I have already decided to eat primarily non-starchy vegetables. I had not decided to do it without oil and I was not sure about without meat, nuts, etc. But, I can do it for at least long enough to see how it works. And, the food sequencing he mentions sounds a bit like what is recommended in Natural Hygiene for helping aid digestion, and, having tried some of that before, I find it tends to work.
Anyway, I shall not post all the other things I am watching, since most of them stem from watching this one. I'll just leave you to decide if you care to look at his links or no.
Either way, have a lovely day.
And, thank you, Jehovah, for helping me to learn.
By the way, while watching this vid, I took his advice and went on a walk around the block. I prayed about it, as I walked, because, I am a person with a very crooked body. One side of my body is weaker, I have scoliosis, my feet are messed up, etc. etc. So, I prayed for help with balancing my body as I walked, and, I got into a lovely heel-toe stride that really worked for me.
The sun was out, but, I wasn't feeling all over-heated and I didn't get burnt. Also, I didn't feel exhausted, even though I did the last time I walked around the same block.
So, I have a lot to thank Jehovah for. And, a lot of hope!
Have a lovely day!
